Taurus Full Moon: what are you really worth?
What comes to mind when someone else mentions “your worth”? What do people mean when they say some individuals are “worth more” than others? And how does this kind of “worth” differ from ethical values, if, indeed, there is a difference at all? The axis between Scorpio and Taurus offers an explanation.
As we know, the full moon (occurring once a month) grants us an opportunity to shed energies that keep us trapped in cycles of repetition and numbness, often through holistic practices or exercises in mindfulness and presence.
The specific sign through which the full moon reflects the sun’s light onto Earth largely determines what we are able to let go of. In this instance, it is the energy of Taurus through which the moon reflects the sun’s peak light (while the sun itself resides in Scorpio), creating a space for us to discern the true nature of personal worth.
According to contemporary perspectives, our reality is shaped by the “filter” through which we process the information we receive.
Taurus and Scorpio: opposite poles
Taurus and Scorpio represent opposite poles: while the former seeks consistency and security within the material realm, the latter pursues the same goals within the emotional sphere, though, in truth, both are essential components of overall well-being.
With Scorpio positioned near such personal celestial bodies as the sun and Mercury, there may be an intensified tendency toward obsession and a need for control; this alignment also brings the potential for long-buried secrets to surface.
Feel without guilt: the gardener who stirs the waters
Be sure to take time to sit with yourself before making any decisions during this season of planetary retrogrades. Take a moment to connect with the energy of Scorpio, an energy that allows you to experience “low-vibration” emotions (such as jealousy, rage, pain, or disappointment) without the burden of guilt. Allow yourself to embrace the emotions you’ve been afraid to confront; with the Moon in Taurus, we encounter the archetype of the “gardener” stirring the waters (in symbolism, water is linked to emotional healing), someone who knows how to repurpose organic “waste” into compost to foster new life.
Pain, permanence, and the victim’s trap
Scorpio has a strong affinity for pain, sometimes seeking it out without even realizing it. It is the master of misfortune, possessing the unique ability to transform a difficult situation into a life-altering lesson.
Taurus, by contrast, approaches life with greater calm; its pursuit of sensory experience is defined by a desire for pleasure, sensuality, and stability. If there is one thing Taurus seeks, it is permanence, whether in relationships, career, or long-standing habits. Be careful, however, not to become too comfortable in a state of victimhood.
Five retrograde planets and the end of an era
This full moon takes center stage alongside five planets in retrograde:
- Mercury in Scorpio, which may prompt us to react from a place of past wounding.
- Venus in Libra, seeking to view every side of a situation.
- Saturn, currently transitioning from Pisces to Aries, reaping the harvest of karma.
- Uranus in Gemini, challenging the status quo through uncertainty.
- Neptune, nearing Aries, opening our eyes to a reality that has always been right in front of us, one we simply hadn’t been able to decipher until now.
The fact that five planets are in retrograde simultaneously suggests that the Age of Aquarius is becoming an increasingly tangible presence in our daily lives. Our sense of self-worth, our convictions, the way we relate to one another as a collective, our boundaries, our time, our space, our dreams, our habits, and our beliefs are all being dismantled, leading us to believe it is the end of the world, when in reality, it is merely the end of one era and the beginning of a new one.
The only stable thing is change
The only constant in life is change; this sentiment perfectly encapsulates the nature of the cosmos. Nothing ever truly stops; everything is in a state of perpetual motion. So, if you feel stuck, remember that this is merely an illusion created by your mind. You are constantly moving forward, creating, and evolving, even when you don’t realize it.
I can say with confidence that the future is far more beautiful than it may appear today. Keep in mind that social media and news outlets often benefit from keeping the public in a state of high alert, nudging us to react from a place of pain rather than calm. Therefore, the wisest approach is to remain centered, grounded in your own body and energy, so that you can make decisions based on information, or, if you’re fortunate, from a place of love.
Full moon ritual: moon water
I highly recommend using “moon water” during challenging astrological transits like these. If you don’t yet know how to prepare it, you can download my free PDF guide.
In the morning, on an empty stomach, take a small sip of the water. Without judgment, simply feel it as it moves through your mouth, down your throat, and into your stomach. As you do this, visualize the water illuminating every part it touches, infusing your body with the energy needed to face the day.
